OpenSCAD was my go-to, I had a short fling with Blender but it didn't really like parameterized models - FreeCAD advertised all the things and then some that I think a hobbyist like me need. I've been doing 3D modelling for 3D printing for more than 7 years, and while most of my models used to be simple that's no longer the case. Perhaps it's just me that's unable to really use FreeCAD. I know - it sounds like a click-bait title, but I seriously would like to know if my experience over the last few years is shared by others or if there are secret ways to overcome the issues.
